Barrington Hills, a Community Known For Its Generosity
Barrington Hills residents are active participants in various philanthropic organizations. Many residents frequently offer their homes to raise funds for charitable causes, events range from a small backyard gatherings to large extravaganzas.
Annual signature events include concerts for open lands benefiting the Barrington Area Conservation Trust, elegant galas benefitting JourneyCare’s Hospice and Palliative Care, the Sanfilippo Foundation’s magnificent events benefitting the Michael Joseph Foundation & many charities supporting the arts, the LeCompte/Kalaway Trail Owners Cup sustaining the local equestrian lifestyle and polo tradition, the spectacular Barrington Country Garden & Antique Faire benefitting Hands of Hope and their work with women and children in Africa, and many more. Barrington Hills is also home to the Barrington Honor Ride & Run. The event supports Ride 2 Recovery and features a 20, 30 or 50-mile bike ride within and around the Barrington area, as well as a 5k and 10k run.
Barrington Hills and its Public Safety Officials are proud to support and promote many of the philanthropic events throughout the year.
