SPARK IN THE DARK

Wee Wanderer Wednesdays
Join us for a special program for little naturalists, children ages 2-6 with caregiver.
Experience nature through storytelling, music, play, and art! We’ll spend some time outdoors if weather permits, so dress accordingly.

Fledgling Artist

Meet an animal up close and be inspired to create a masterpiece in this program that blends artistic discovery with nature education. Ages 7-10. $5 per child per class. Registration required. Call today for more information.
Stories from the Stars
Friday, Feb 16 · 7:00 pm. Gather around the fire, admire the beauty of the night sky, and listen to the stories of the constellations. Take a closer look with our telescope, roast a marshmallow or two, and kids can decorate their own scope to take home. All ages are welcome. $1 donation. Registration required.
Resident Raptors
Not all birds fly south for the winter. Learn about the birds of prey that stay in Illinois year round. Examine a talon, touch a feather, and discover the raptors that call Crabtree home.

Winter Bird Hike
Open your closets, grab your warmest winter gear and favorite optics for a winter bird hike. We will look for both winter migrants and resident birds on our local trail system.

Under the Ice and Mud

Snowshoe Loaning
Snowshoes are available when snow is 4” or greater. Equipment is limited and is loaned with no charge on a first come, first serve basis. Driver’s license required.
