LAKE BARRINGTON, IL—View more than a dozen fire service vehicles from multiple eras and enjoy complimentary refreshments on Saturday, May 20th, when the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District (BCFPD) hosts its 3rd annual antique fire truck show.
The event will take place at Station #1 (22222 North Pepper Road, Lake Barrington) from 11 am – 1 pm. Admission is free for family members of all ages.

Other award categories being presented this year are the President’s Award (given by the BCFPD Board President), Chief’s Award (selected by Fire Chief Jim Kreher), and Community Choice Award (chosen by local officials).
Meanwhile, children will be able to imagine themselves as firefighters, and test their firefighting skills, at the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance’s “safety house.”
“This year’s antique fire truck show is an opportunity to share a bit of the fire service’s storied history with those we serve today,” Chief Kreher explained. “We look forward to welcoming residents to our fire house to explore these vehicles – each of which offers its own little journey into the past.”
