Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
All requests of the Village of Barrington Hills for the inspection and/or copying of its records pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) shall be made in writing and directed to one of the FOIA Officers at the Village Hall, 112 Algonquin Road, Barrington Hills, Illinois.
The Village has created this web based service for the public to use to make a FOIA request. You are not required to use this service; however, it is the preference of the Village for all FOIA requests to be made using either type of online Request Form.
You can download a Request Form and submit the completed form to the FOIA Officers during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. CST) in person, by mail, or facsimile (847-551-3050).
You can in the alternative fill-out the Request Form online and follow the automated submission process.
Submission details for requests can be found on the Instructions page.
The Village may post the responsive Records on its website and the completed Request Form is a public record within the meaning of the Act.
Records are already posted online and to view records of the Village that are available online see QUICK LINKS (left side panel) for Administrative Records and Police Records.
Operational issues with this site should be directed to clerk@barringtonhills-il.gov . Please be specific in the description of your operational issue.
