The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has initiated preliminary engineering and environmental studies (Phase I) to identify potential improvements to IL Route 62 (Algonquin Road) from IL Route 25 to IL Route 68.  The purpose of the study is to evaluate alternatives to address safety concerns and accommodate existing and projected year 2040 travel demands.

The first public meeting for the IL 62 Phase I Study was held on November 9, 2017.  At this meeting, IDOT encouraged attendees for comments/feedback, as well as to participate in a Community Advisory Group via an application.  A website has been created solely for this study.  Information about the study, including the first newsletter summarizing the results from the first public meeting, can be found by clicking this link: http://il62study.com
