This year, the number of registrants 🎆exploded 🎆over last year’s, totaling 167 registrants for The Land We Love Run 5K/10K + 2-Mile Walk!

Many returners and, of course, new entrants plus donors and sponsors joined hosts Village of Barrington Hills and Cuba Township that humid, overcast morning raising funds for Folds of Honor Chicago. Preliminary calculations predict The Run has raised at least $10,000 for Folds of Honor!  WAY TO GO EVERYONE!

People came to the Run for a variety of reasons:

…to compete
…to support the Veterans
…to support the Community
…to cheer on the runners
…a great way to start the weekend
…a fun family event

Whatever the reason and however you contributed, we are truly grateful! YOU ARE ALL WINNERS!

And, a thank you would not be complete without acknowledging those who donated to Cuba Township’s food pantry! Nearly 75 pounds of much-needed items were donated to provide local residents in need! Way to be awesome!

A special #shoutout to Barrington Hills’ own Police Chief Joseph Colditz who not only medaled in the 5K but also earned the Village’s internal Red-Tape Rocket trophy, finishing with the fastest time among his Village peers. 

Second and Third Place Honorable Mentions go to Trustee JC Clarke and President Brian Cecola!
