UPDATE: Algonquin Road Has Reopened

UPDATE
Algonquin Road (IL 62) between Brinker and Old Sutton Roads has reopened to through traffic.
The investigation of a traffic accident from earlier today has concluded, and both lanes of Algonquin Road are now open.
The public is reminded to drive cautiously, follow all traffic laws, and respect the right-of-way. Safe and attentive driving helps protect everyone on the road.

An accident has occurred at the intersection of Algonquin Road (IL 62) and Old Sutton, closing travel on Algonquin Road in both directions, from Brinker to Bateman Roads.
Algonquin Road will remain closed until further notice.
Drivers are asked to avoid this area and use Dundee Road (IL 68) or an alternate route.
