Arbor Day is a day dedicated annually to public tree-planting, promoting the ecological importance of trees and their care.  To honor this day, Village of Barrington Hills, in collaboration with Barrington Area Conservation Trust (BACT), is sponsoring a tree give-away of oak tree saplings on Monday, APRIL 23rd at Pederson Preserve.  It’s first come, first served basis–one per family.

Pederson Preserve is directly across from Barrrington High School at the corner of Lake Cook & Hart Roads.  parking available in PepsiCo’s front parking lot, east of Pederson Preserve.

In addition to picking up your sapling, plan to celebrate Arbor Day by participating in the restoration of Pederson Preserve’s natural habitat.  For more information, log onto BACT’s website: bactrust.org
