Dan Wolfgram, Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals, represented the Village at the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) Economic Summit on Wednesday February 8th. Community leaders were asked to review accomplishments of 2016 in their communities.

He shared with the audience that the Village supports home-based businesses which blend into the community’s surroundings and are consistent with the low density of the Village.  Wolfgram highlighted the Villages re-branding initiative. The major achievement being the launch of a newly designed website.

He spoke of his initial decision to move to the Village over 30 years ago and the reasons he chose Barrington Hills; the website is now designed specifically to highlight these unique characteristics of our Village. We hope to attract those who might consider Barrington Hills and our region as their next home address.

The website creates a “virtual mainstreet” tool for area realtors to give potential buyers a sense of what we have to offer in the marketplace.  Wolfgram summarized that

“Barrington Hills will continue to provide residents a place to live, work and play. The value of accessible open space, rural private and public lands will remain available to our combined communities residents and prospective residents as a respite from the density and unbridled development which has been invading Northern Illinois.
