American History Essay Contest and Good Citizens Award Event

At the beginning of the current school year, students from local area schools were invited to participate in one of two contests: 5^th-8^th graders were invited to submit essays on the topic “Celebrating A Century: America’s National Parks”. Students who participated will be recognized at all levels of participation, with the winners’ sponsoring schools receiving engraved plaques with the students’ names.

One high school level senior will receive the Good Citizens Award, which is a scholarship for $1000.
