Keep your summer memorable for all the fun, and not for the mishaps. Before venturing outdoors, a little prep can make all the difference!
EXTREME HEAT
- Stay out of the sun. If you must be in the sun, wear sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat.
- Avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothes that cover as much skin as possible to prevent sunburn.
- Drink plenty of water, diluted juices, and electrolyte solutions, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Non-carbonated drinks are recommended.
- Avoid alcohol.
- Do not leave children or pets in a closed vehicle, even for a few minutes.
