Free Oak Saplings to Honor Arbor Day & Earth Day

The Village, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, is giving away free oak saplings to honor Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 25)!
We expect the saplings to be delivered sometime in the morning on Friday, April 18, ready for the public to come and choose their sapling that afternoon. The saplings will be next to the Public Works building (yellow pole barn), available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
We do not know which variety of oak saplings MWRD will be donating, but no matter the type, each one is a special contribution towards supporting the environment, and we are forever grateful for their generous donation towards a greener future.
