The Village of Hoffman Estates seeks citizen input for its 2022 CDBG Annual Action Plan (AAP). The
2022 Program Year begins on October 1, 2022 and ends on September 30, 2023. This will be the 3rd
AAP within the Village’s 2020-2024 CDBG Consolidated Plan. The AAP is a document that identifies
the Village’s specific strategy to address affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, supportive
services, and community development needs of low and moderate-income residents. Development of
the AAP is required of the Village as a recipient of CDBG funds. The CDBG program is a federally
funded program intended to develop available community, a suitable living environment, and expanded.

In addition to an estimated $143,670 in unused funds from prior years’ allocations, the Village of
Hoffman Estates anticipates an allocation of approximately $227,083 in CDBG funds during the 2022
Program Year. The AAP will include the activities the Village proposes to complete with anticipated
CDBG funds to benefit persons oflow and moderate-income and meet Consolidated Plan objectives.
A public hearing to obtain citizen comments and suggestions will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022
at 3:00 p.m. at the Hoffman Estate Municipal Building, 1900 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
All interested citizens and organizations are invited to attend and participate at this meeting.
Copies of the draft AAP will be available for a public review period beginning June 17 and ending July 18th.

website at www.hoffmanestates.org/cdbg.
Written comments and suggestions regarding the AAP may be submitted to the Planning Division, 1900
Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169, emailed to Planning@hoffmanestates.org no later than July
