Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) will be having two events for the collection of household chemical waste at its Gurnee Facility: 1311 N. Estes Street Gurnee, IL 60031.  APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED to ensure safety & efficiency. Collections are for residential waste only. No business waste will be accepted. All SWALCO HCW Collection Events are FREE for Illinois residents ONLY.

PLEASE NOTE** Both June Events are scheduled on Saturdays – this is to help ease scheduling for those that held onto their collection of HCW during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The routine weekday event, typically held on the fourth Monday of each month, is cancelled until further notice. This is a safety precaution that will help in minimizing potential exposure risks to SWALCO office staff due to the increased presence of outside contractor personnel in the facility that are required for those events.
