The Village of Barrington Hills is deeply saddened by the incident over this past weekend. Please be aware, there is no indication of any current threat to the safety of Barrington Hills residents or the general public; this was an isolated incident. The Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT) is assisting the Village Police Department in the investigation of this incident to resolve this case as soon as possible.

The use of a residential property for purely commercial purposes is not allowed in Barrington Hills under the Village’s zoning regulations. Thus, the commercial use of any Property for short-term rental for lodging, special events, etc. is strictly prohibited by the Village Code. We cannot provide further details at this time, as this is an ongoing investigation.
