# ThankYou MWRD for once again making OAK SAPLINGS available for FREE pickup at this year’s BARRINGTON HILLS FALL FESTIVAL, Sunday, October 11 | Noon to 4 PM–Rain or Shine!
As part of their Restore the Canopy, Plant a Tree program, MWRD has donated oak saplings!
Not only do trees provide a beautiful green canopy for our communities, but they are also a powerful & effective form of green infrastructure. A medium-sized oak tree can help reduce flooding by absorbing 2,800 gallons of rainfall per year!
Saplings are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Perfect timing for fall plantings!
