Proposed State Mandated Zoning

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, President Brian Cecola joined northwest suburban mayors at a press conference hosted by State Representative Martin McLaughlin (52^nd District) to voice their strong opposition to the proposed State takeover of local zoning authority referenced in Governor Pritzker’s State of the State address.

“I thank Representative McLaughlin for hosting this press conference and for bringing this extremely important information to our residents,” said President Cecola.
