The Sanfilippo family of Barrington Hills, Illinois
announces the passing of their father, Jasper B. Sanfilippo,
who died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on
Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Former CEO and Chairman of John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc., Jasper was also known World- wide for his Collection of Automatic Music Instruments, the World’s largest restored Theater Pipe Organ, the restoration of the most complete European Salon Carousel in existence – the 1890 Eden Palais Carousel – and the sharing of all through charity fund raising events and tours.

The Sanfilippo family is humbled by the immense impact Jasper has had on the business world, the collector world, the nonprofit charity world, and the many friends made over his 88 years. At this time the family is focused on coordinating a wake, mass and burial for Jasper.

Memorial arrangements will be released shortly and communicated through the Sanfilippo Foundation’s E-Newsletter and on this Website.

Written condolences may be sent to this address:
Sanfilippo Family, P.O. Box 367 Barrington, IL 60011.

The Sanfilippo family has already planned for the continuation of the Collection and the tours and charity events through the Sanfilippo Foundation, with Jeffrey Sanfilippo having assumed the responsibility of carrying on the Foundation’s work, along with Mrs. Marian Sanfilippo, his four siblings, John, James, Lisa, and Jasper Jr., and Jasper and Marian’s 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

A celebration of Jasper’s life will be held later this year with a concert and tribute to him with the music he loved from the organ and collection that brought him so much joy during his lifetime.

We thank you kindly for your concern, condolences, and prayers for the family. More information will be forthcoming shortly.
