The Village is not conducting a survey

Residents may have received a text stating the Village of Barrington Hills is conducting a survey inquiring about your birth date, voting intentions, etc.
PLEASE KNOW THIS IS NOT FROM THE VILLAGE.
As always, if you receive text messages, emails, phone calls, etc. asking for your personal information, be suspicious that it could be a phishing scam, and do not follow the link. Contact the sender directly by using the contact information you have on record.
Federal Trade Commission recommends reporting if you received a phishing email or text message:
If you received a phishing text message, forward it to SPAM (7726)
If you received a phishing email, forward it to the Anti-Phishing Working Group at reportphishing@apwg.org.
Report the phishing attack to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
