Today is Flag Day!

Flag Day originated in the Midwest by a small-town Wisconsin teacher, Bernard Cigrand, in 1855. He later moved to Illinois and continued to promote his concept of an annual flag day and promoted respect for the flag throughout his life.
President Woodrow Wilson in 196, officially established June 14 as Flag Day–a day that celebrates the history of the American Flag.
