The Oak saplings have been delivered!
The saplings are lined up against the Public Works structure (yellow pole barn). No need to check in at Village Hall. Oak saplings are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Thank you for making a difference and growing a greener tomorrow.
#ManyThanks to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago for donating the saplings and for making this program possible.
Don’t forget! Share a pic of your planting moment or of your saplings planted from years past! We’d love to see them!

Help us celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day by planting a FREE oak sapling!
The Village, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, is giving away free oak saplings to honor Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 24)!
We expect the saplings to be delivered sometime on Tuesday, April 21, ready for the public to come and choose their sapling! The saplings will be next to the Public Works building (yellow pole barn), available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
We do not know which variety of oak saplings MWRD will be donating, but no matter the type, each one is a special contribution towards supporting the environment, and we are forever grateful for their generous donation towards a greener future.
Plant a tree, make a difference, and grow a greener tomorrow!
