Friday, November 11, is Veterans Day, a celebration to honor America’s military veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.  Please take a moment to let our troops know how much we appreciate their dedication.  

• Donate to an organization that supports our Veterans.  United Service Organizations, commonly known as the USO, is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service.  For stories of service, to make a donation, to gift a phone call home or to sign a card thanking our troops, visit: 4 Stories of Service in Honor of Veterans Day.  
• Show your support by attending events that shine a light on our Veterans:
  Barrington’s Veterans Day Ceremony

  VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK (on the corner of Cook & Main Streets, Barrington, Illinois).

Every day, our service men and women selflessly put their lives on the line to keep us safe and free. We, too, can help make a difference in their lives by showing them support all year round. 

Participate in Barrington Hills’ The Land We Love Run, an Independence Day Holiday weekend 5K/10K walk/run, raising funds to benefit our veterans.

Participate in one of the National Veterans Foundation‘s suggested activities.

🏥 Visit wounded Veterans

🏡 Help a Veteran fight homelessness, eviction or foreclosure
