On this Veterans Day, we salute and honor all men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces, for their dedicated service and sacrifices made for our great nation
Veterans Day is a Federal holiday that occurs on November 11 every year in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday to Veterans Day.
In observance of Veterans Day, Village offices are closed.
