When to Re-Register
Your registration is permanent unless you move or change your name. You may update an existing registration via the link Register to Vote or Update an Existing Registration on the Illinois Online Voter Registration webpage.
If you are legally changing your name at the Secretary of State’s office, you can ask them to process a new or updated voter registration.
