Barrington Hills Roads – Know Who to Call

The first major snow and ice storm of the season came in with a wallop.  Although crews have been working tirelessly to restore conditions, some roads remain affected by tree/brush protuberance.  We ask for everyone’s patience and proceed with caution.

Road maintenance in the Village is managed by four jurisdictions: State, County, Village and Private. Know who to call by referencing the Road Jurisdiction map, under Informational Documents: barringtonhills-il.gov/documents.  Report dangerous road conditions to Police Dispatch (Quadcom) at 847-428-8784.

Illinois Dept. of Transportation: 847-705-4000
Cook County Dept. of Transportation: 847-397-4145
Village of Barrington Hills: 847-551-3000

Some County Roads that still remain closed:

Bateman Road – Closed between Bateman Circle North and Bateman Circle South due to downed trees and snowy road conditions within the S-curve portion of this road.
Old Sutton Road – Open; however, numerous trees are down partially blocking the roadway between Otis Road and County Line (Lake Cook ) Road
Donlea Road – Open; however, numerous trees down partially blocking the roadway.
Bateman, Old Sutton, and Donlea are awaiting attention by the Cook County Highway Department and Otis is awaiting attention by ComEd before the tree can be addressed by Cook County Highway. There is no estimated response time from either organization.
