Canvass of Votes Certified

The April 1 Consolidated Election Official Canvass of Votes has been certified by each county!

Here are the results:

• Brian D. Cecola was re-elected as Village President, serving his second term of four years.
• David Riff was re-elected as Village Trustee, serving his second term of four years.
• Laura S. Ekstrom was re-elected as Village Trustee, serving her second term of four years.
• Thomas W. Strauss was re-elected as Village Trustee, serving his second term of four years.

Each elected official offered their thanks to the voters. Their comment is shared below:

President Brian D. Cecola:

It is a privilege to continue serving as your Village President, and I appreciate the trust the residents have placed in me. I remain committed to our community, preserving thoughtful zoning practices and protecting our open spaces.

Trustee/President Pro Tem David Riff :

Four years have passed, and with four more years ahead, I thank you for re-electing me as Barrington Hills Trustee for a second term. As Public Safety Chair during my first term, safety & security were my priority, and I will continue to ensure they remain at the forefront.

Trustee Laura S. Ekstrom:

“I want to sincerely thank the residents of the Village of Barrington Hills for reelecting me as Trustee.  I am honored by your continued trust and support, and it’s a privilege to serve this exceptional community that my family and I have called home for over 30 years.

Trustee Thomas W. Strauss:
