The Village of Barrington Hills is pleased to announce that its 2025 Road Program project will begin at the end of April.  Work will start on Spring Creek Road, from Haeger’s Bend Road to Meadow Hill Road, and then move on to Buckley Road.

Builders Asphalt will be placing traffic control signs the week of April 28th and anticipates starting to mill the road at the end of the week.  Paving will tentatively begin the week of May 5th, weather permitting.

Construction duration is approximately one month, and all work including the landscape restoration,  should be finished by the end of June.

While construction is ongoing, vehicle traffic may be reduced to one lane with traffic control flaggers present.

Please use caution in the area or use an alternate route. Always keep in mind that the weather always has an impact on the schedule, and we thank you for your patience.

Private Road Repaving

The awarded contractor has agreed to offer an “in the neighborhood” rate for repaving private roads. The cost and availability will depend on the individual road.

Any reduction in rates is because the contractor will already be working in our Village. If the road program has been completed and all the machines have been removed, the costs can increase significantly to remobilize the equipment.

If you are interested, you’ll need to act quickly to schedule a quote directly with the contractor. Contact the Village by calling 847-551-3000 or emailing your name and private road to village@vbhil.gov. Be sure to state that you are requesting the contractor information to pave your private road.
