The Village of Barrington celebrated the groundbreaking of the US Route 14 Grade Separation this morning, a project that will create an underpass at US Route 14 under the CN railroad in Barrington. The ceremony drew a host of public officials representing districts, municipalities, townships, and government agencies. Among them were Barrington Hills’ own Trustees Thomas Strauss and Senator/VBH Trustee Darby Hills.
Village President Karen Darch shared a brief history of the Project, expressing gratitude to the many individuals and organizations who contributed to its success. Other Barrington Village leaders, including President-Elect Mike Moran, Village Administrator Scott Anderson, and Deputy Administrator Marie Hansen, outlined key project details and timelines.
