IDOT’s safety initiative along Lake Cook Road has begun.  Trees and shrubs that impede vision or will potentially affect power lines will be cleared. In addition, invasive species and trees in poor health that may be impeding the growth of healthy trees, as identified by IDOT arborists, may also be removed.  Measures will be taken to prevent erosion in areas where the soil may be exposed.
