Barrington Area Council of Governments is hosting a Level 1 Private Well Water Testing event on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. The $12 test kit must be purchased the week before (August 27th through August 31st)  and will be available at Village Hall, 112 Algonquin Road, Barrington Hills, Illinois during office hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Make checks payable to Lake County Health Department.  If paying with cash, please bring exact change.

Because water samples must be tested by the laboratory within 24 hours of collection, residents must collect each water sample right before drop off on Wednesday, September 5th at The Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington between 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM.   Test results will be emailed to homeowners within two weeks.

Presentations on groundwater protection, water softeners contributing chloride to our aquifer drinking water and water conditioning equipment will begin at 2:00 PM.
