Back by popular demand, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago’s (MWRD) delivered oak saplings as part of their Restore the Canopy program!

Trees are an important part of our ecosystem. They help prevent flooding, improve water quality by absorbing 2,800 gallons of rainfall per year, absorb carbon gases and produce oxygen.

Arbor Day is Friday, April 28. Celebrate by planting an oak sapling available next to the Public Works Building on Village Hall grounds on a first come-first-served basis.

Let’s help to restore the canopy throughout Barrington Hills and only pick up one sapling to ensure our neighbors throughout the Village have the opportunity to plant a sapling.  Thank you for being a conscientious neighbor.

Feed the Bees Wildflower Seed Mix packets are still available.  Stop in Village Hall to pick up your free packets.

#Thank you, Dennis & Chaz, for making this important delivery!
