What began as a possible washout turned into sunshine, smiles and high-spiritedness!  The rain and puddles didn’t stop our annual Barrington Hills Fall Festival! 

To the untrained eye, it might have appeared slightly chaotic that morning but in reality, it was the efficient movement of volunteers and staff converting the indoor arena at the Riding Center into festival grounds decorated with fall flair.  Thank you Barrington Hills Park District!

We welcomed almost 600 festgoers that afternoon, Sunday, September 17, many of whom showed up promptly at Noon, kicking off the festival! And we were ready for them! The fun, food, and entertainment had started, including the Bears/Buccaneers game which was live-streamed at the Fest.  We are happy to report that, unlike the Bears, our kickoff ended in a win!

Fall Fest Fans enjoyed an afternoon filled with scrumptious luncheon selections, Italian ice, libations and a variety of entertainment: 

• 288 gooey, customized pizzas were peeled from the onsite woodfired pizza oven
• 150 plump and juicy hotdogs were served from their steamy bath
• 150 Italian sausages found their way onto a plate next to a freshly made pasta salad
• 1,000+ chilled non-alcoholic and adult libations were served to complement lunch

Live music, animal shows, wagon rides, arts & crafts, pony rides and other entertainment completed the afternoon experience.
