The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reminds us all to make trick-or-treating safer. Full details can be found via the link Trick or Treating and Other Halloween Activities but here’s a summary:
Avoid direct contact with trick-or-treaters. Stay at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you.
Give out treats outdoors.
Set up a station with individually bagged treats for kids to take.
Wash hands with soap and water at least 20 seconds before handling or eating treats.
Wear a cloth mask, not a costume mask.
Do NOT wear a costume mask over a cloth mask. It can make breathing difficult.
Masks should NOT be worn by children under the age of 2 or anyone who has trouble breathing.
Bring hand sanitizer with you that is at least 60% alcohol
Trick-or-Treating hours are 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Other activities to do:
- Wear your costume to the Barrington Area Library now through Sunday, Nov 1 to receive a “treat” from the Youth Services Desk!
- Take advantage of Goebbert’s Farm Fall Festival. Enjoy a variety of activities including a haunted house, animal tents, pony rides and other fun To-Dos! Online ticket purchases are required: goebbertsgardencenter.com. Last day of the Fall Festival is Saturday, Oct. 31. Last entry time is 2PM.
