2021 Kane County HMA Crack Sealing Project
| Starting the week of June 7th, routing and crack sealing will begin on portions of the below-listed roads. Construction work hours will be from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday for approximately six to eight weeks, weather permitting. · I.C. Trail/Sauber Road/ Lees Road from IL Route 64 to IL Route 47 · West County Line Road from Perry Road to IL Route 38 · Harmony Road from Allen Road to Getty Road· Orchard Road from Approx. 570’ South of I-88 to Tanner Road · Allen Road from County Line Road to Approx. 170’ East of Harmony Road · Fabyan Parkway from Approx. 1,650’ East of Kirk Road to Approx. 345’ East of Louis Bork Dr./County Line · Corron Road from Approx. 70’ North of McDonald Road to Bowes Road · Keslinger Road from Approx. 380’ West of Bartelt Road to Randall Road · Silver Glen Road from Corron Road to Randall Road · Main Street Road from Harter Road to Approx. 790’ West of IL Route 47 · Meredith Road from McNulty Road to I.C. Trail The Crack Sealing program is part of the County’s annual comprehensive road maintenance program to increase the longevity of the roads by sealing road cracks that prevent water from penetrating the road base and reducing the life of the pavement. All of the above-mentioned roads will remain open during treatment but will be reduced to one lane of travel using flaggers and temporary daily lane closures. As the routing process may generate dust which can become airborne in windy conditions and water cannot be used to control this as it adversely affects the crack filling, drivers may want to avoid the roads while routing is being performed. |
